Recovery
University
The education division
of Mecklenburg’s PROMISE offers trainings on a variety of topics related
to the Recovery Model and service provision in North Carolina. Participation in
the Recovery University trainings satisfies the North Carolina state
requirements for 2-5 additional hours of training related to the target
population of adults with SPMI and SMI. Trainings are free to all agencies
receiving IPRS funding, all consumers and family members, and one employee from
each non-IPRS agency in Mecklenburg County. Trainings will be offered at minimal cost to all other
non-IPRS agency employees.
Curriculum for
Recovery University incorporates up to date research, evidence based practices,
and the formally endorsed North Carolina state curriculum.
