Mecklenburg's PROMISE Annual Adult Mental Health Resource Guide
The Adult Mental Health Resource Guide is a comprehensive collection of services,
activities, supports and assistance programs available to all individuals who reside in Mecklenburg County. This document is separated into more the 23 categories (topics which include local, state and national resources. You will find that some resources are located under more than one section, as they provide services that span across categories.

Our hope is that this Resource Guide will greatly enhance the ability of mental health professionals, and the individuals they serve, to access community resources in the simplest and most convenient way possible. This will be an ongoing publication by Mecklenburg’s PROMISE, available on our website at no cost. Due to the continual addition of new resources in our community, Mecklenburg’s PROMISE invites all users of this guide to submit resources, report changes or corrections to our Staff Assistant at (704) 525-4398

Mecklenburg's PROMISE Community Support Recovery Toolkit

The Mecklenburg's PROMISE Community Support Recovery Toolkit serves as a comprehensive guide and “how to" manual for community support providers in Mecklenburg County, ensuring that they provide services and supports in accordance with the principles of Recovery based “best practices” and in compliance with North Carolina and Mecklenburg County guidelines and regulations.

Wellness Toolkit Folder

Mecklenburg's PROMISE has created a Wellness Toolkit Folder which will be distributed to every consumer receiving Adult Mental Health Community Support services in Mecklenburg County. Wellness tools are skills, resources, or activities that are needed to prevent or manage a crisis (i.e. coping activities, pictures, self-help books, poems, quotes, church pastor, best friend, etc..). Every Wellness Toolkit Folder includes:
* Examples of two crisis plans that consumers can choose to complete and use
* Space for a consumer's Crisis Plan
* Space for a consumer's Person-Centered Plan
* A pocket for the business card of the Community Support Provider/First Responder
* A pre-printed list of crisis numbers
* A pre-printed insert of important emergency numbers
