Description:
The seminar will focus on the impact of biological, psychological and social environments on the development of human behavior in children from pre-birth through age 12. When environments are healthy, children develop healthy ways of coping with the world, but when environments do not support health and growth, children learn behaviors that signal their distress. We will examine how the knowledge and understanding of human development can be applied to the treatment of children whose behaviors and emotions require our special attention.
